Crown reached their second cup semi-final with a 5-3 win against Downham OB after extra-time on Sunday. They took the lead through a superb solo effort from Ricky Bowden, however Downham struck back immediately.
In the second half Crown once more took the lead through Jack Mockford. Old Boys hit back with a precise free kick and then they mananged to get themselves in front. Mockford missed a penalty for Crown before Bowden eventually equalised. In extra time Ben Bothamley and Joe Woods scored to settle the tie.
Northend beat Chilvers 6-4 in the Lynn Sunday League (Div 2). Aaron Wright, Steve Harris, Aaron Yeomans and Lee Collins scored in the first half. It was tighter after the break with Yeomans and Harris adding further goals.
March Saracens climbed to the top of the Division One table with a 6-1 win over Fowler. They had only a Jermaine Watson strike to show for their efforts in the first half. In the second half it was a different story as Saracens added five goals with a hat-trick from Dan Smethurst with Ash Taylor and Shane Knight also on target. Man of the match was Paul Rowell.
