March Town boss Brett Whaley is looking for a big reaction from his players at Debenham on Saturday after two successive Ridgeons League Division One defeats.
“This is a massive game for us against a side just below us in the table and one we must win if we are to hold on to our place in the top four,” he said.
“We have worked hard all season to get ourselves into this position and it would be a great disappointment if we let our season fall away now. We still have a lot to play for and I do not want the players just to be focusing on a cup semi-final.
“I just do not know why we have struggled against sides at the lower end of the table, but Debenham are a top side so I need to get a good reaction from the players after last week.”
Marc Welcher returns after his ban and Adam Rothery is available again too, but Dan Jenkins is still missing.
Whaley added: “It will be good to have players back but I think we need to bring in a couple of new faces to freshen things up. It looks like I’ll be busy on the phone.”
Gary Setchell at King’s Lynn has already been in contact and Whaley is waiting for an answer.
Whaley had felt he had made two signings in Anthony Thomas and Tony Brown, but Thomas did not turn up for the Thetford game and Brown played for Chatteris on Saturday.
Whaley said: “We can forget about Thomas, but Tony said he needed 90 minutes instead of being on the bench so we will see how things work out with him.”
