Errors cost Hares again

Halstead 3, March Town 0

A first half goal and two in the second period condemned the Hares to a Thurlow Nunn Division One loss on Saturday.

Manager Paul Crosbie said: “As always every goal conceded a mistake from us.

“Ash Brand missed a one on one after three minutes and the story of our season then unfolded.”

He added: “Three basic, basic errors have resulted in Halstead winning. We are making the same mistakes and just not learning from them.

“Confidence is low and we have won just two games in 2013.

“We go again versus Stowmarket on Saturday.”

The club is offering free entry against Stowmarket.

Ash Brand is struggling with a knee injury, Michael Anker is out (knee), while Andy Bryan (hamstring) is out for the season. Lewis Thompson and Robbie Masters hope to be available.

One piece of good news was the return after a dislocated shoulder of Sam Darlow, who had 20 minutes off the bench.

Crosbie said: “It’s good to have Sam back; I’ve got a lot of time for him and unfortunately he got injured in February against Long Melford.”

Josh Westley returned after four months out of the side due to work commitments.

March: Collett, Ogden, Mattless, Westley, Spendelow, Barnes, White, Gallagher, Lemmon, Brand, Emmington. Subs: Darlow, Carman.
