Joint boss Paul Cousins rued five individual errors which condemned the Fenmen to a staggering defeat on Saturday in the United Counties League Premier.
A poor first half saw the Fenmen trail to goals in the 10th and 24th minutes.
Goals from the hosts early and late in the second half made Neal Spafford’s 54th-minute goal a consolation.
Cousins said: “It was a bad day at the office.
“Five goals were down to individual errors.
“We can’t afford to have that many in a game, and we gifted them.
“I said at half-time that the next goal was important but then came more individual errors.
“Five minutes into the second half and we are 4-0 down, and that’s the game gone completely. We did play some good football and cut them open quite a bit.
“If we had got into it at 2-1 I definitely think we would have got something out of the game because we caused them some problems.”
Cousins added on Tony Battersby, one of two debutants with Sam Murphy: “On a positive note, Tony did ever so well.
“He hadn’t played for a week but he was fine. He used his experience well with the ball played into his feet.”
