Spalding United have boosted their squad further with the signing of Wisbech Town midfielder Andy Millson.
The former Fenman, voted both supporters’ player and players’ player of the year after guiding Dick Creasey’s side to third in the UCL Premier Division last season, follows ex-Peterborough Northern Star midfielder Sam Murphy to Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.
Millson scored 11 goals for Wisbech in 43 appearances last season, including three penalties, and played under Tulips boss Pat Rayment when he was assistant manager at Stamford.
Rayment said: “Millson is a player I’ve had my eye on and he was talking to a lot of UCL managers, so there’s no doubt that he’s not just joined us to play Step Four football.
“He’s here to be in a promotion-chasing team.”
Rayment also confirmed that he is still looking to add to his squad, with “three or four others on the radar”.
