Wisbech Town 2,

Harborough Town 0

The Fenmen scored two goals but lost two players to injury against second from bottom strugglers Harborough.

A goal in each half from Scott Johnson and Danny White (64 minutes) took the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier points but Johnson followed forward Matt Lunn, who came off with a hip and side injury after just five minutes, on the sidelines on Saturday.

The Fenmen, who remain in eighth place, were dominant but struggled to convert their ascendency into goals. They expect Lunn to return at the weekend.

Wisbech Town joint boss Dick Creasey said: “Lunny got clattered and both players had to come off. Then Yakka (Johnson) turned an ankle.

“If the game was judged on possession of the ball, which was 80-20 per cent, then we deserved to win, but we didn’t create much apart from the two we scored.

“They were two good goals: Scott came across his marker and headed in, while Danny hooked it into the net.”

“They wanted to keep the scored down because they are fighting for points.

“Scott was our best player today. He is on holiday for the next game but he would have probably missed it anyway.”

Wisbech: Jordan, Millson, Fairweather, Cousins, Spafford, Reed, White, Doherty (Fisher), Johnson (Reid), Lunn (Battersby), Smith. Attendance: 156.
