Former Fenman haunts Hares

The Hares could not hang on to their lead in this Thurlow Nunn League Division One top of the table clash.

Denny Escorcio fired March ahead after 54 minutes, finishing off a good attacking move.

However five minutes later the Pedlars levelled after a goalmouth scramble. With 24 minutes to play former Fenman Alex Vincent won the game with a drive from 20 yards.

Joint boss Chris Bartlett said: “We went 1-0 up and stopped for ten minutes, which was enough for them.”

Next Saturday Bartlett is set to make changes when sixth-place March entertain second spot Saffron Walden Town, who are a mere goal behind leaders Long Melford on goal difference.

Jordan Fiddes returns from suspension, while Sean White is back after a game with the Reserves.

The Reserves had a comfortable 4-0 win in a North Cambs Junior Cup derby at March Saracens from Division 5. Sean White got a hat-trick with Alex Carman notching the other.
