Frankie fires spectacular strike in hat-trick haul

UNDER 16 Cup

Chatteris 6, Brampton 2

Unbeaten Chatteris progressed to the next round despite some plucky hard working opponents.

Chatteris edged the first half 3-2 with goals from Josh Joyce, Sam Merryweather and Frankie Ransome. Joyce made it 4-2 three minutes into the second half.

A spectacular 35 yard half volley from MoM Ransome, who then completed his hat-trick with a firm header following a Jackson corner.

UNDER 15

Haverhill Rovers Blue 2, Chatteris Town Youth White 5

Goals from Asa Revell and Charlie Pitt (2) secured a 3-1 lead at half time.

The second half saw a goal from Luke Bailey, numerous missed chances, a second header from Haverhill and another goal from Pitt, completing his fifth hat-trick of the season, to put them in joint first place, two goals behind Milton.

Downham Town 1,

Hungate Rovers 4

Hungate’s unbeaten start to the season continued with a hard fought win over a battling Downham side who had the better of the game in the early stages.

Two goals from Ryan Mcmanus put Hungate in front before half-time. Second half goals from Brad Sheldrake and Anthony Reeve secured the points for Rovers.

Wisbech St Mary Yellows 0, Wisbech Acorns 15

In this cup match Acorns played a team from a lower Division and Yellows must be congratulated for not giving up.

Acorns goals were scored by Jordi Scott-Henson (6), Xavier Kitching (2), Dale Richardson (2), Ben Lister, Rob Munden, Callum Davey, James Bunning and Shane Coleman. MoM: Ben Gant.

UNDER 13

March Soccer School 4,

Milton Colts 3

In the second half March were 4-1 up and looking good for the win but Milton Colts had other ideas with two more goals.

In a nervous finish two fine saves by keeper Jack Hunt kept March in it. Goals from Lewis Hussey and a great hat-trick for James Youles.

Outwell Swifts 1,

Wisbech St Mary Yellow 5

Outwell had a hard fought cup game.

Outwell had a good first half and finished the game strongly. A good performance by Ronnie Buckingham (MoM) with James Coleman scoring the only goal for Outwell.

Leverington 2, Witchford 5

LEVERINGTON went out of the county cup with a below par performance.

Witchford soon took the lead when Leverington defence were caught knapping, and then Matthew Ogbiede levelled with a good effort.

Witchford soon went back in front to make it 2-1 at half-time.

Will Rackley scored for Leverington with a good powerful shot, but Witchford scored three more. Jacob Shailes and Kai Mead had good games with Ethan Davey MoM.

Wisbech St Mary Purples 3, Bourne 2

Both sides were equally matched in the first half and went into the break with one goal each but Purples came out in the second half a stronger team.

Purples goals: Bartek Ziabka, Callum Elsey 2.

Parkway Eagles 1,

Wisbech St Mary Yellows 3

WSM Yellows started the game off brightly with an early goal from Jack Gale after a good pass from Lewis Loates.

In the second half WSM stepped up a gear and controlled the game. Ben Gale and Jack Gale both scored with ten minutes from time. Lewis Swann was man of the match for an outstanding display and a good assist. Josh Curson also made a very good save.

Another good performance by Outwell who have started the season unbeaten. Goals from Toby Allen, Scott White and Mathew Snowden.

UNDER 11

Wisbech St Mary Yellow 4, Oundle 2

Saints started the game well but Oundle scored first with Saints soon equalising with a goal from Kieran Symons.

Oundle regained the lead just before the break but Saints dominated the second half, adding further goals from Reece Hughes, Seb Ziabka and a second from Symons which saw them comfortably through to the next round.

UNDER 10

March Soccer School A 5, Hungate Whites 1

A fine display from Kyle Campbell and Ryan Neville in defence as March bagged three wins in a row.

Outwell 2,

Wisbech St Mary Purples 4

Newly formed team WSM found their first win in a magnificant team performance against a strong Outwell side.

A hat-trick for Ben Larner and a further goal from Jacub Ciesla eased the pressure. Chloe Pearson was MoM with a solid performance in midfield.

Wisbech St Mary Yellows 4, Leverington 2

Wsm remain unbeaten so far five games into the season with a tremendous result against a very attacking Leverington side.

A brace from Richard Popovic and a goal apiece for Ethan Drew and MoM Ajay Jolly was enough to earn Saints the points.

Feltwell 1,

Hungate Rovers Greens 2

A great game as the top two met for the first time this season.

Jay Rout for the Greens broke the deadlock with a crisp strike soon after the restart. Feltwell levelled midway through the half but the winner came almost straight away with a great finish from Lewis Forth. MoM: Nathan Culley, a great midfield display.

Hungate Rovers Yellows 1, March SS B 12

A fantastic team performance led to a comprehensive victory over a spirited Hungate side.

Goals scored by MoM Fyn Smith (6), Sam Smethurst (2), Kyle Liddy (2) and Caimen Campbell (2).

UNDER 9

Leverington 0, WSM 2

A battling Leverington team held out until 10 minutes to go when Brandon Furneux slotted home.

Minutes later a nice free kick from Willis Wright preserved a record of five wins from five with no goals conceded. MoM: Brody Warren.
