Tydd St Mary’s difficult run of form continued in this frustrating 2-2 draw against local rivals Fosdyke in the Boston & District League Division Two.
A boggy pitch prevented either team playing good quality football but it was Tydd who opened the scoring after just four minutes when a well taken free kick from player-manager, Mark Greenacre, found Stephen Cousins head to flick on to Brazilian striker, Pablo Da Silva, who smashed in a half volley.
Fosdyke rallied and scored a superb leveller on 12 minutes. The Saints kept plugging away and were rewarded right on the stroke of half-time when Stu Easey turned two defenders and fired home.
Cousins won a penalty 10 minutes after the restart but Timmy Lowe dragged his shot wide. Lowe was to regret his miss as Fosdyke equalised two minutes later after a goal mouth scramble.
