WISBECH Town will be chasing a fourth successive Ridgeons Premier Division win when they face lowly Walsh-Le-Willows at the Tom Woods Beer Fenland Stadium on Saturday.
Their last three wins have seen them break into the top six in the table and manager Steve Appleby feels that is exactly where his team should be.
In fact it might have been a lot better this season but nine drawn games have hampered any chance of a title challenge for the moment.
Appleby said: “I am well pleased with the way we have been playing in our last two games.
“We have said all along that we would like to challenge for the top six and we are now level with Kirkley in sixth.
“We have games in hand on the three teams above them as well and we don’t have the pressure that the top sides face at this stage of the season.
“We will now be aiming to finish as high as we possibly can.”
Appleby will be forced to shuffle his squad on Saturday with Scott Johnson banned for two games after picking up 10 bookings, while Matt Lunn is away for three weeks.
That could mean recalls to the squad for Billy Smith and Dan Fysh from the reserves, while Ash Stevens, who has been in good scoring form recently, could also get a start.
