March Town FC have almost completed their squad for next season after they re-signed the majority of last season’s squad.

Hares manager Paul Crosbie confirmed he has signed skipper Max Mattless, Lewis Thompson, Luke Pepper, Sam Darlow, Gary White, Ben Collett, Marc Hipwell, Ben Lemmon, Robbie Masters, Jake Ogden and Jon Gibbons.

He said: “We have added David Jackson from Swaffham and Camara Harriott who had been at Thetford.

“I hope to secure those guys plus other players we have to make a decision on.

“We are nearly done and dusted on signing players.”

He hopes to re-sign Danny Emmington and Toby Ogbonna this week; plus others who have yet to attend a session like Ash Brand, Ash Spendelow and Mikey Anker. Joe Gallagher has moved up north.

The Hares will be entering just the FA Vase this year as their application for the FA Cup has been rejected by the FA. In the FA Vase March have a bye through the first qualifying round; in the second qualifying they host Godmanchester Rovers.

Red Insure League Cup draw (first round): away Newmarket Town; First Division KO Cup: away Debenham LC.

The Hares begin their pre-season campaign on Saturday at Cottenham (3pm) and on Tuesday have the first of two pre-season derbies against Wisbech (away, 7.45pm).
