March Town United 2, AFC Sudbury Res 1

The Hares picked up their first Thurlow Nunn League Division One win in 11 games after going behind thanks to a brace from David Jackson.

Jackson headed home in the six-yard box on 55 minutes from an Ash Blanchflower cross, and five minutes to go he bagged the winner from 12 yards.

Manager Paul Crosbie said: “We weren’t communicating and at half-time we had harsh words in the dressing-room.

“In the second half they responded very well. I’m pleased for the lads who got a lot of belief back in themselves.

“Away at Braintree will be a challenge on Saturday.”
