The Hares threw away two points after being 3-1 up on Saturday, but continue an unbeaten Thurlow Nunn Division One run to five games.

When Juliano Menezes was knocked over on 11 minutes, Dan Woods converted the spot-kick.

In the second period came an own goal from a great cross by Woods and a fine strike from Menezes after Jordan Fiddes hit the post, before two quick Sudbury goals ensured the draw.

Joint boss Chris Bartlett said: “We should have wrapped it up.

“The changing-room was flat afterwards as it felt like a defeat but the squad is continually learning.”

Skipper Lewis McManus started the game after injury and had 70 minutes.

The Hares next Saturday travel to Great Yarmouth with Luke Pepper in the squad after playing 90 minutes in the Reserves.
