Hares have an incentive

MARCH Town need just one point from their final game of the season against Halstead to finish the season in fourth place in the Ridgeons Division One.

One point will push them ahead of Brightlingsea who have finished their games but if Halstead win then Brett Whaley’s side will drop to a sixth place finish.

Whaley said: “It will be good to have something to play for in our final game. We certainly do not want 29 games of hard work to be wasted and so that should bring out a good performance.

“A top four finish has been the target since the start of the year and it would be very good reward for what is basically a completely new side from last season.

“It was always going to take time for the the side to gel, so to finish fourth would be a very good effort and something to build on for next season.”

Marc Welcher and Craig Norman are missing, but Dan Jenkins should be back to be added to the squad that played at Thetford last weekend.
