The Hares beat Thurlow Nunn League Division One leaders Debenham with five key players missing.

The Suffolk side looked strong and took the lead on 14 minutes, but Denny Escorcio levelled.

After the break Escorcio got his second with Dan Woods, Juliano Menezes and Sean White scoring.

The Reserves worked hard to earn a point, 1-1 against Milton, with Dayne Moore notching another goal.

Joint boss Chris Bartlett said: “We equalised quickly which was important. The second goal was also important, which we scored.

“It was nice to see them play with a bit of freedom and confidence.”

For the Division One trip to Cornard Utd at the weekend, March Town United should have Jordan Fiddis back after he was ill on Saturday.

Callum Young and David Jackson are away, the recuperating Luke Pepper may be in line for a return after resting for a few weeks, Ash Brand could feature after picking up a hamstring strain in last week’s friendly, while Lewis McManus (knee) may return to training.

In a friendly last Tuesday, the Hares lost 5-1 at Peterborough Northern Star, Jordan Goult replying.
