The Hares made it four wins in a row on Saturday in Thurlow Nunn Division One, beating Team Bury after going behind.

Bury took the lead after 42 minutes after a defensive lapse, but the hosts were back in it a minute later when Liam Merryweather headed in a corner.

Four minutes into the second period Jordan Fiddes scored a cracker with a fine header and 16 minutes before the end Juliano Menezes fired from 25 yards via a deflection.

The victory puts the Hares up to sixth position.

March joint boss Chris Bartlett said: “I’m pleased to have got four wins in a row and pleased for the players, really.

“We’ve done it without being particularly good. We’ve got players returning now, which we’ll need as we’ve got some tough games coming in November.”

Grant Watson suffered a facial injury and left in an ambulance.

Bartlett said: “I picked him up from hospital and he’s got ten stitches around the mouth. He could still play on Saturday (at AFC Sudbury Res) if he feels OK.

“He took an elbow which I don’t think was intentional.”

Luke Pepper and Lewis McManus came off the bench and suffered no reaction in a boost for the squad, while Tom Flatters should have the cast taken off his arm in the next week and a half.

David Jackson and Ash Brand are having physio, and Bartlett hopes this recovering trio will be available in the next fortnight.
