Hares through in Cambs Cup on penalties

Have your say

March Town United FC overcame Kershaw Premier side Foxton in the Cambs Cup on Tuesday night but only on penalties.

This was a difficult game for the Hares with Foxton providing stiff opposition.

March conceded the first goal but hit back with a fierce drive from David Jackson before the break. March went 3-1 ahead near the end after Dan Woods got a brace, the first a penalty and then a cracking angled drive. Two very late goals from Foxton made it 3-3 into extra time, then penalties. Foxton missed two but March got four (Gerard Evans, Denny Escorcio, Jackson and Dave Beeny after just saving their final penalty).
