Whittlesey 3,

Hungate Rovers Girls 2

This was a very close and intense League Cup match with both teams creating chances at both ends and Whittlesey took advantage of a miss-hit back pass to lead at the break.

Megan Ratcliffe pulled Hungate level as both teams battled to remain in the cup and Casey Ward finished a Dom Coleman cross putting Hungate into the lead.

Whittlesey increased the pressure and pulled it back again and then notched a third to go through to the next round.

March Soccer School 2

A local derby in the S-Tech League Cup saw two determined teams of young girls provide the spectators with an entertaining and enjoyable match. March Soccer School found themselves leading at the break after a superb strike from player of the match Rebecca Moy.

Both teams defended well throughout and impressed with some great midfield play. Abigail Penaluna between the sticks for March pulled off an important save and it was Olivia Goode who made a fine solo run and finished well to seal the victory for the visitors.
