Hungate Rovers 6, Stamford 4

IN this 10-goal thriller, Holmes opened the scoring and then extended the home team’s lead.

Stamford grabbed one straight back from the kick off, then another to bring the scores level before Bennington scored to put Hungate ahead at the break.

Holmes used her pace to complete her hat-trick and Ratcliffe scored from the penalty spot, only for Stamford to close the gap. Ratcliffe finally bagged a second in a very solid and competitive game from both teams.

Hungate Rovers: Casey Read, Aimee Ward, Megan Ratcliffe, Kimberley Maynard, Yazmin Holmes (pom), Dominique Coleman, Chloe Thompson, Casey Ward, Courtney Wakeham, Jessica Cooper, Ellie Bennington, Briony Beckett, Holly Tibbs.

Deeping Diamonds 11

Estover Park 0

DESPITE only having eight players, Park battled extremely well against unbeaten Diamonds and were only 1-0 down after 30 minutes.

Keeper Dani Westgate was awesome in goal and the whole battling spirit of the team was shown by players-of-the-match Sydney Davis and Zoe Birch, who were both injured but continued to play the last 20 minutes to support their team-mates.
