The first-ever Wimblington FC Footgolf Tournament took place at Priory Golf Course in Wimblington.

Competitors first played a round of 18 holes. Hole 4 was the closest to the pin hole and hole 6 was longest drive. On his first go around on hole 4 Niall Jackson notched a hole in one and wasn’t beaten for the rest of the day. On hole 6 on the second time round, Sam Frankham hit the longest drive after which the party worked out the top five for the final.

After 18 holes: 1 Jonathan Johnson 69, 2 Elliot Vanhinsbergh 70, 3 Shae Pooley 71, 4 Niall Jackson and Stuart Jackson 72.

The final swung back and forth and went to a one-hole decider between Johnson and Jackson. Jackson tapped in for a four. Johnson then knew what he had to do, calmly slotting in to win the tournament by one shot.

Results: Winner - Jonathon Johnson. Runner-up - Niall Jackson. Closest to the Pin - Niall Jackson. Longest drive - Sam Frankham. Thanks to Priory Golf Course for putting everything together.
