Lilies get a relegation lifeline

Chatteris Town gave themselves a Cambs League Premier Division relegation lifeline with a 3-1 win over Sawston Utd.

A great corner from Jamie Taylor was forced over the line by Chris Matthews on three minutes. On the hour a cross/shot from right-back Aidan Hollis went in the top corner and with 20 minutes to go a deflected Ben Matthews effort made it 3-0.

Lilies boss Steve Bright said: “Everyone played well and it was a great result.”

March Reserves beat Buckden 3-2 in Division 1B with Danny Blanchflower 2 and Andy Bryan on target.

Upwell moved up to fourth in 5D after a 4-2 win at Wimblington A despite Johnny Harnwell being sent off. Their scorers were Harnwell, Jonny Allen and Matt Thomas two.
