Chatteris Town lifted the Bill Salisbury Memorial Cup with a 1-0 victory against local rivals March Town on Wednesday night.

Ross Alexander scored the derby winner in the first half in the Lilies’ final pre-season test before the season opener tonight.

The club thanks the Salisbury family, who were there to present the trophy. The Lilies also send best wishes to Max Flintoft after sustaining a dislocated elbow.

Chatteris host Great Paxton in their first Cambs Kershaw League Senior A game of the season tonight (Wednesday), kick-off 7.45pm.

The weekend deluge saw the club’s 9-a-side cancelled. They have no game this Saturday but are at home again on Wednesday, August 20, against Hundon.
