Lilies Res pick up first win

Chatteris Town Reserves clinched their first win of the season against Buckden 2-1 thanks to goals from two U18 players, Frankie Ransome and Josh Joyce.

The A team went ahead through a goal from Lee Ransome and it was 1-1 until about 20 minutes before the end when a flurry of goals gave visitors Ely Crusaders a 4-1 victory.

The first team didn’t play this weekend, but had a 2-1 win over Milton the previous weekend with goals from Dean Saunders and Aidan Hollis.

The U18 team hosted St. Neots and clinched an historic win in the dying minute of the game.

They were 1-0 up through Ben Tuffee when the referee awarded St. Neots a penalty, then went 2-1 up with a shot from Josh Brittin and were pulled back again to 2-2 five minutes before the end.

The winning goal came from Asa Revell via a superb pass from Sam Dew.

This weekend the first team will host league leaders Gamlingay United at West Street.
