March could face Wisbech St Mary in FA Vase

The FA Vase will be the only national cup competition in which March Town FC will compete this season.

March enter at the second round qualifying stage and will visit the winners of the first round game between Gorleston and Wisbech St Mary.

The game will be played on Saturday, September 24.

There are some changes to the first team pre-season programme due to intensive work on the GER playing surface. New July schedule for the Hares – Sat 16: March v Stanground 3pm. Tue 19: March v Deeping Rangers 7.45pm. Sat 23: Eaton Socon v March 3pm. Wed 27: Chatteris Town v March 7.45pm, Bill Salisbury Cup. Sat 30: March v Wisbech Town 3pm, BKD Cup. The league season then kicks off on Tuesday, August 2, when March host the debut of Wisbech St Mary in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League.

In the League Challenge Cup the Hares will host King’s Lynn Res on Tuesday, November 1.

In the First Division KO Cup March will also play the Linnets, visiting the Walks on Wednesday, October 19.
