March planning interviews for Whaley’s job

MARCH Town are planning to have interviews next week for the vacant manager’s job after Brett Whaley left for Yaxley last week.

The club’s board met on Wednesday night and have already received five inquiries for the post.

Chairman Phil White, who only arrived back off holiday last week to be greeted with the news of Whaley’s departure, said: “Brett has done a fantastic job for the club and we are very sorry to see him leave. I know Yaxley is a club near to his heart and I am sure he will prove a big success there.

“It is very heartening that we have had so much interest in the manager’s job already. We want to try and appoint someone within the next two weeks so we can try and keep as many of last season’s squad as possible together.”
