March Rangers 7, Phoenix United 2

March secured runners-up spot and played their best football of the season.

March soon raced into a 3-0 lead with a brilliant hat-trick from Lewis Kent. Further goals were added by Robert Shepherd and in the second half Jordan Peachey (2) and Kent.

UNDER 11

March Soccer School Blue 2, N & R Black 1

March went ahead with a well placed goal from Dan Cave before N and R equalised.

Lewis King secured March’s win. Strong performances from Ethan Halls and Ollie Hubbard.

G&N Amber 4, MSS Red 1

Despite some spectacular saves from Charlie Slack and an assured display from MoM Quinn Canavan, MSS lost to unbeaten Amber. Duke Higham scored for the Reds.

UNDER 13

Whittlesey 1, March Rangers 0

Rangers require a point from their final league match next weekend to be crowned champions.

UNDER 14

Yaxley 1, Estover Park 3

Estover came back from a goal down as James Meek broke free of the defence with a cool finish.

Jack Stockdale gave Estover a second half lead and Kieran Kirby’s penalty at the end settled the tie.

Netherton 1, Estover 5

Garrison Asher’s first half hat-trick inspired Park. Zach Mulholland and Brandon Pearce added the other goals in a good team performance.

* Leverington FC are starting up two new football teams.

The Girls U11s years 5 and 6 meet on the field Fridays 6-7pm and are already operating, so just turn up. Boys/Girls U7s will be training Saturday mornings, time to be arranged.
