March Tn U 5

The Hares had a handsome victory at Haverhill Borough which sets them up for a home clash with Leiston Reserves next Saturday.

Seventh-spot Leiston are a place above March on goal difference in the Thurlow Nunn League Division One.

Jordan Goult scored on three minutes but it was 1-1 just 30 seconds later. But the Hares went on to dominate and goals by Ondre Odain – at the double for the second week in a row – made it 3-1 at the break, with Barber also missing a spot-kick.

The domination continued in the second half, and with Gerard Evans heading home on 50 minutes and Cooke adding a cracker on 82, it was a comfortable win.

The Reserves beat Wisbech St Mary Res 1-0 in the Cambs League, to go clear by three points. It was a tough game with the Hares putting in a great performance.

The only goal was scored by Callum Young with a drive from 25 yards. A crowd of more than 50 watched the game.

The board of directors congratulate both Adam Conyard and Tyler Carter on being selected for the Cambs representative squad for the game versus Essex. It has been a few years since Hares players have been picked.

They also wish Dan Woods success on joining Pinchbeck United.
