Pepper makes Hares return

Luke Pepper became the second former March Town player to return to the club from UCL side Yaxley last week.

Pepper contacted Hares boss Paul Crosbie early last week and Yaxley gave the move the go-ahead on Friday so he was available for Saturday’s 6-1 defeat against Swaffham.

Ash Brand made the same move the previous week after struggling to make the starting line-up.

Pepper, who captained March last season, said: “I was not enjoying my football the same as I was at March. It was a challenge for me to go and play in UCL Premier Division with Yaxley and I went there for all the right reasons.

“I think I adapted well to the different style of football - it is less technical than the Thurlow Nunn. You also have to make a real commitment as they have been playing almost twice a week since the season started and it is difficult with work.”
