Ray heads Swifts winner

Outwell Swifts Res made it hard work to win 4-3 away to Wimblington A in Cambs League 5D.

Swifts led 3-0 after 20 minutes with goals from Keith Harris, Hodgson (penalty) and Luke Whyatt but Wimblington drew level. Swifts had two penalties saved by the young keeper but Ray Points headed the winner.

Upwell won 2-1 against promotion rivals Coldham who missed chances and had a decent penalty call overuled after an offside decision. Upwell’s scorers were Martin Chapman and Jack Davis.

In 3B, Benwick won 3-0 in the local derby with Estover Park, with Jay Harrison, Dayne Moore and ex-Estovian player Danny Wheatley scoring, to push Benwick into mid-table.
