The Fenmen went up to seventh in the United Counties League Premier Division after a 17-minute hat-trick from wide player Callum Reed despite going behind on Tuesday last week.

Hosts Sleaford took the lead on 14 minutes. Away striker Tom James scored for the third game running to level with a penalty after 64 minutes.

Then it was the Callum Reed show with goals on 66, 81 and 83 minutes.

Wisbech joint boss Paul Cousins said: “We played good football in the first half but didn’t obviously score.

“In the second half we destroyed them later on. We showed good fitness late in the game and we deserved to win.”

Cousins said the team did not panic and were patient, adding: “We knew we would always get a goal, there wasn’t really a panic.

“They scored against the run of play on the break but I wasn’t overly-concerned. In the second half we ever so well.”

Wisbech: Jordan, Doherty, Spafford, Johnson, Reed, Stocks (Tricks), Millson, White, Reid, Battersby, James. Sub unused: Cousins.
