WISBECH St Mary bounced back from their first defeat of the season to beat Littleport 3-1 at home in the Cambs Premier Division on Tuesday night.
Stuart Brown gave them a 1-0 lead at the break and then Chris Macaree added a second goal early in the second half.
Littleport pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 and were putting the pressure on when Saints broke away with Curtis Knight firing home from 30 yards for Saints’ third goal.
Chatteris Town lost out 2-1 at home to Eaton Socon after once again taking the lead.
Richie Allen was brought down in the area early in the game and picked himself up to score from the penalty spot. The Lilies missed chances through Alex Ashley and Ben Matthews when they were the better side in the first half.
After the break Eaton Socon took control and equalised after 55 minutes and the winner came 15 minutes from the end.
In the local derby in the Peterborough Premier Division Parson Drove and Leverington shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
There were no goals in the first half, but Drove took the lead after the break when Dale Palmer was adjudged to have brought down Scott McManus and James McManus scored from the penalty spot.
Leverington came back with two goals from Jason Day to lead 2-1. First he hit a superb free kick from 25 yards out and then scored from the penalty spot when Paul Clarke was bundled over.
Drove equalised with 10 minutes to go with a Michael Cozens header.
