Little Paxton 2,
March Town 2
The Hares made it only one defeat in six with a late Emma Searle equaliser in the 89th minute.
Searle rounded three players before slotting into the far corner.
It was the least the team deserved after taking the lead in the first half. A quick corner routine from Searle and Alana Sugden led to a cross being nodded in by Anna Hatcher.
Searle also hit the post with a free kick and Victoria Johnson made a magnificent clearance on the line.
Upwell 0, Alconbury Res 1
Upwell failed to score for the first time in a match in 12 months.
Jonny Allen had the chance to break the deadlock early on, and was denied by some brilliant goalkeeping.
Alconbury slotted home midway through the first half when their striker was released one-on-one with Luke Fage.
Upwell rallied in the second half, twice having efforts cleared off the line.
Upwell manager, Karl Schultz, said: “It was a tight match with very few clear-cut chances.
“Alconbury are a really well-drilled side, but we had opportunities to draw level. It’s disappointing to lose to a promotion rival.”
