Strike duo in goal glut

March Saracens’ new strike force paid dividends as they ran out easy 8-2 winners in this encounter against Terrington Reserves in the King’s Lynn and District Sunday League.

Saracens opened their account early when Jermaine Watson scored directly from a corner. This was followed by a rare headed goal from Dan Smethurst.

A defensive lapse allowed Terrington to reply but Saracens hit back with a decisive strike from Watson to put them in control at the break.

In the second half Saracens wrapped things up with Watson completing his hat-trick and strikes from skipper Smethurst taking his tally to five to complement a fine team performance with Jim Smith and Arron Connor putting in an outstanding effort.

Crown took the points in a close game against Terrington with a 4-2 victory.

Arran Duke, Darren Hurst and a Ricky Mason double provided the goals for Crown.
