Long Sutton 6,

Bishop Stortford 2

Lincolnshire’s county champions and highest ranked team got off to the perfect start in Premier B on Saturday.

Sutton deserved their equaliser, albeit coming from a Stortford defender. Man of the match Bailey’s tireless running and delicate skills gave Sutton that missing edge.

Fyson slotted a lovely short corner to Harrison who deflected it into the net.

Sutton continued to dominate in the second half. Fyson fired in a double, followed by Cook and Sisson.

Long Sutton 2nd 2,

St Neots 0

The 2nds started their 3NW campaign with Otto Esse an impressive MoM in the midfield playmaker role.

Esse and John Sullivan scored for the 2nds.

LSHC Ladies 1,

Shefford & Sandy 1

Preparation had been good with great results in the friendlies and excellent coaching by Nick Bailey and his assistants.

After a number of half chances Hannah Greenacre converted a Woodhead pass with some superb stick skills. Sutton go into next weekend’s game against St Neots more determined for three points.
