Cambs League side Outwell Swifts Reserves are celebrating going through to the final of the Reg Haigh & Arthur Peck Cup.

Outwell produced a 2-1 semi-final win over Chatteris Fen Tigers.

Swifts produced their best team performance this season against a very good Fen Tigers side, both goals coming from Ray Points to see the young side into their first cup final.

In League 5D, Benwick Athletic Res kept up their good run with a hard fought 2-0 win at home to Doddington A.

It was an even contest in the first half, but Benwick piled on the pressure in the second half with four shots cleared off the line.

Paul Newstead set up both goals. First was a header for 38-year-old Glenn Moore and then a close range finish from top scorer Ryan Smith.

Upwell dropped more vital points this weekend, going down 3-2 to Wimblington, also in League 5D. With a whole host of regular players missing this weekend, Upwell struggled to get out of the starting blocks and found themselves 2-0 down at half time.

Gary Green scored after the restart, before Wimblington scored their third.

Mario Santos scored with 10 minutes remaining to give Upwell hope of a comeback, but an equaliser never materialised.

In this division leaders Upwell Town, who have 46 points from 21 games, and second place Wisbech St Mary C (43 from 20) both lost this weekend.

Outwell Swifts Res have 41 from 19 while Chatteris Fen Tigers are on 40 from 16.
