Ten-man Hares crash

March Town Utd 0,

Stowmarket Tn 7

The inconsistent Hares crashed on Saturday after impressing in their two previous Thurlow Nunn League Division One games.

Lewis Welcher, in his second start, was dismissed in the first half for a pull on the edge of the box.

Goalkeeper Max Flintoft returned after injury but could only watch as Stowmarket led 3-0 at the break and added three goals in the last 12 minutes.

Manager Paul Blanchflower said: “The players have undone all their good work by under-performing.

“We held them halfway through the second half then once the fourth goal went in, our body language went altogether.

“We’ve got nine games left and I’ll try to get us as fit as we can to get us competing with the other sides.”

The Hares will be without Talal Kamara for the game at Ipswich Wanderers on Saturday.

The Reserves won 4-2 at Milton.

The scorers were Luke Pepper (2), Andy Bryan and Callum Young.
