Tydd tumble in cup thriller

Boston Division 2 side Tydd St Mary put up a good fight against Premier side Old Doningtonians losing 8-5 in this cup-tie.

Saints were 2-0 up after 14 minutes with Steve Cousins scoring from two penalties.

However, this seemed to wake up Old Dons and they came back into the game and made it 2-2 before half-time.

Saints soon trailed 3-2 in the second half with a harsh penalty decision.

This goal was the turning point for Tydd and, with their heads down, they conceded a further four sloppy goals.

However, Cousins (MoM) slammed in a perfect free-kick and then Mark Garner made it 7-4 but another goal on the break let Dons in for their eighth of the match. Garner made it 8-5.
