Chatteris Fen Tigers 2

Upwell beat a weakened Chatteris Fen Tigers.

Mario Santos gave Upwell the lead within the first 15 minutes, but five minutes later Matt Thomas gave away a penalty. It was 1-1 at half time.

Upwell picked up the tempo in the second half. Aaron Marshall scored within two minutes of the re-start.

Martin Chapman made it 3-1 just past the hour mark before Marshall put the result beyond any doubt.

Freakish weather put a stop to this game at the GER.

With 25 minutes gone, the ref decided that the pitch was waterlogged and abandoned the game.

The Hares more than matched their Premiership opposition and had early chances from Raechel Luty and Michelle Fisher.

Keeper Dani Westgate made a superb save.

The game will be replayed on April 12.

March Saracens 6,

Wisbech Town Social 4

Saracens’ hard work paid dividends in this King’s Lynn Sunday League derby.

March fell behind early on but responded with three well-taken goals from MoM striker Alan Irvine to put his side in conrol at the break.

In the second half Wisbech pressure paid off with a couple of superb strikes, but Saracens stepped up a gear and further goals from Irvine, Niall Harris and Andrew Abbott made the game safe.

In a top-of-the-table clash Hungate were second best against a well-drilled Dersingham.
