Watson off in Leverington loss

Ten-man Leverington Sports lost 3-2 after extra time at home to Moulton Harrox in the PFA Senior Cup.

Nathan Watson turned from hero to villain by scoring after five minutes and receiving a straight red card for a late tackle.

Joe Green put the hosts 2-1 up in the second half but manager Stuart Webb said Moulton’s penalty equaliser three minutes from time was an “outrageous decision which killed us”. He added: “We deserved to go through.”

Harrox bagged the winner late in extra time.

Long Sutton go into second place in Peterborough League Division One after defeating Holbeach Res 2-1.

They took advantage of leaders King’s Lynn Reserves beating Sawtry.

Five second half goals meant Tydd St Mary triumphed in the Peterborough League Shield 6-1 at Stamford Belvedere Res.

Tydd were 1-0 up at the interval and they managed six different scorers.

Goals came from Stephen Cousins, Matt Eaton, Phil Franklin, Aaron Parker and subs Aron John and Adam Pack.
