Wisbech Town FC manager Brett Whaley has announced the departure of Dan Wilson to local ChromaSport UCL Premier rivals Peterborough Northern Star, whilst joining the squad is Lucas Panayi from Football CV Reds.

Whaley said: “I’d like to wish Dan Wilson all the best for his move to PNS. Dan is a really talented lad with a great attitude, but because of our run of form, he has been unable to break into the starting 11. At his age he feels he will develop further by playing regularly.

“Lucas plays full-back or central midfield, and comes with a recommendation from the Stamford based academy.

“Both Holbeach and Yaxley have already taken advantage of players from Football CV Reds, and with so many important games for us and the reserves I feel we will benefit from this additional squad cover.”

The eighth-spot Fenmen’s next match is at Oadby Town on Saturday. The weekend’s scheduled home game with Kirby Muxloe was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
