Ground to get revamp

March Town Cricket Club are carrying out a revamp of the pavilion and ground in an ECB countrywide initiative Natwest Cricket Force on March 26.

The jobs on the day include renovation of the scorebox, spring cleaning the pavilion, sadolin on the picnic benches, cleaning out the dykes and fencing repair.

Club chairman Les Mills commented: “Our aim is to improve the facilities we have at March Town Cricket Club which is considered by many as one of the best grounds in Cambridgeshire. All help will be gratefully received.”

The day starts at 9.30am until 4.30pm. All helpers on the day will receive a free tee-shirt and a fish and chip lunch.

Junior Cricket coaching sessions are also continuing on Sunday, March 27 and Sunday, April 3 at the Neale Wade Community College.

Under 11 boys 12-1pm, under 13 & under 15 boys 1-2pm and girls 2pm-3pm. Spaces still available at £2 per session.
