Leverington moved to the top of Cambs League Junior 2A with another convincing win by five wickets against Needingworth.
For the third time in three games Leverington bowled first and started very well with Aaron Cobb picking up two quick wickets with only 16 runs on the board.
Needingworth upped the run rate with a 45-run partnership that was broken by Ricky Brown 2-41 and he was well supported by Lee Peck 2-54. Needingworth batted out their overs and managed to get 184 for seven.
In reply Leverington lost Glyn Wilson for only five but then Jacques Steynberg took the attack to Needingworth, smashing 119 off only 72 balls with seven fours and nine sixes. He was supported by James Dod 30. Leverington reached their target in only 23 overs.
Leverington are away to March thirds this Saturday at the Neale Wade.
