Leverington travelled to Chatteris looking to make it three wins from three, and they did so by five wickets.
Leverington won the toss and put Chatteris in on what looked like a slow and low wicket.
The new opening attack of Buttriss and Cooper bowled tight again without much success, however the run rate never really got going.
First change was Gill who bowled without luck at all, seeing three clear chances go begging throughtout his spell.
The first wicket didn’t fall until the 16th over, Buttriss (1-17). Man in form Gilbert (3-35) followed Buttriss with the ball and picked up three wickets in quick succession.
The Chatteris opener after the 32nd over was excellently run out by Cooper and keeper Rhodes.
The sixth wicket pair took the attack to Leverington for the first time and put on a good partnership to add 50 to the score to see them to 141 for 5 at the end of their 40 overs.
Another new opening partnership of Rhodes and Dod started brightly, regularly picking the gaps in the field. In the 11th over Dod (11) chased a wide ball to give an easy catch to bring in Prince, who produced some excellent shots before top edging a sweep to square leg for 24.
Rhodes was bowled playing on, also for 24, bringing Carter (for his first game of the season) and Gilbert to the crease.
With a strike rate of 250 Carter was dimissed for 6, chipped to cover and Buttriss came and went without troubling the scorers.
Again Cooper and Gilbert were at the crease, this time in the 23rd over still needing over a third of the runs on 88.
Both playing freely, Gilbert was chanceless in this 34 not out, while Cooper was perhaps a tad fortunate when he offered a sharp caught and bowled chance before finally going on to hit the winning runs in the 34th over to finish on 20 not out.
Next weekend Leverington travel to top of the table Terrington.
