To celebrate England winning the Ashes against Australia, March Cricket Club will host an ECB Club Open Day on Sunday.

All members of the community are invited to attend the club’s President’s XI v Chairman’s XI game which starts at 1.30pm.

The ground is situated off Burrowmoor Road.

Between innings, afternoon tea and cakes will be served free to all players, members and spectators. This is with the support of the England team sponsor Waitrose.

The new pavilion refurbishment (new doors, windows and patio doors) funded by WREN will also be officially opened at tea time by the chairman of the Trustees, Robert Sears.

The new club flag will also be flown for the first time. This was paid for by the estate of the late George Granger, a life member for many years.
