Adam Portwood from March made his National Speedway League debut for Mildenhall on Saturday at Rye House.
Adam scored two points plus a bonus point during the meeting and although doing well with his racing said that the step up to National League was hard but enjoyable.
Promoter Michael Lee said: “Adam made a promising debut and was on the pace by the end of the meeting, which is all I could ask for, as he had never raced at this level before.
“He is starting to look a great prospect and deserved this chance.”
Adam has been aiming to ride for a speedway team since the age of six.
