The opening race of the Frostbite League was held on Sunday and Fenland Running Club performed well for the early part of the winter season.
The team completed a five mile off road course at St Neots, with Tim Chapman leading them home in 33-37 (95th). A strong performance and pb came from Adam Chown in 34-45 (125th) and Sarah Gauvin led in the ladies on her birthday in 36-29 (177th).
Club chairman Andre Pittock and coach Gary Bligh (pictured) ran the 42km Monster Ultra from Ely to Cambridge and back. Gary finished ninth (6 hours 21) in a field of 50 finishers. Andre found the distance tough and came home 31st (8 hours 27).
Sarah Rippon in her first sprint duathlon in Huntingdon finished in 124th, having run 5km, cycled 20km and then run 2.5km in 1 hour 43-33.
