Wisbech Ladies 0, Bury St Edmunds 0

Wisbech knew they were safe from relegation but were playing for the best possible finish.

Both teams had opportunities, through short corners and in open play. The point means Wisbech finish the season mid-table. Player of the match was Alysha Moat.

Wisbech Ladies 3rds 1

Wisbech finished their season with a friendly.

Wisbech found themselves 3-0 down quickly but a formation reshuffle and a well taken goal saw a much stronger second half performance. PoM: Ellie Cobb. Goal scorer: Tina Forder.

Bury SE 4, Wisbech 2nds 3

A bare Wisbech XI started brightly against a full squad of 16, man of the match Dom Stannard and Sam Blunt giving Wisbech a 2-0 lead in East Hockey Division 2N.

Wisbech tired in the second half and after a number of contentious decisions the match became niggly. With Wisbech also reduced to ten men for a period, Bury scored four goals despite goalkeeper Simon Freear blocking and brother Gary Freear batting away a number of penalty corners. Stannard scored a late second.

The players thank Ryan Parker for captaining the team for three seasons.
