STOCK Car and Banger Racing returns to the Norfolk Arena on Saturday (6.30pm) with a four formula full contact bill, with two of those formulas – the Lady Bangers and 1500cc Bangers – making their first appearance of season 2011.
Nathan Young had a great season in 2010 and will have high hopes for the White & Yellow Final. Other local drivers on the grid include Julian Watson and Nick Wakeham.
The Lady Bangers will see Wisbech teenager Alicia Greenslade, voted the best newcomer in 2010 by her fellow drivers, racing with a blue roof for the first time in her career. Caroline Garner will be keen to get a good start on her main rival Amy Brown. Other local drivers include Terri Mace and Wisbech’s quickest grandmother Trudy Gowler.
The 1300 Stock Cars will see current points leader John Moat trying to win his third feature race win in a row.
In the remainder of the meeting David Sturman makes a very rare Lynn appearance and Alex Godfrey will be making his National Banger bow.
