Cambridgeshire S.M.B.A journeyed up to Harrogate to play the Yorkshire White Roses over the weekend of 19th/20 May.' They played for the challenge sheild on the saturday at Scotton. The team unfortunately lost on some very difficult mats.' On sunday the players and guests went to Great Ouesburn (York side of the A1) where all the players drew for playing' positions and mats from a "bag" for a "fours" drive. This was great fun as it really mixed everyone up, we had leads as 'skips and skips as leads . Again we didn't feature in results ,but had some good scores. Both days the Yorshire White Roses'wined and dined the Camridgeshire team. Our thanks go to all the Yorkshire players for their hospitality. Thanks also goes to'Derek Beardsley for organizing the weekend for us and for the quiz saturday night. It was a briiliant weekend was was enjoyed 'by everyone and we look forward to the White Roses visiting us next year.
