Scoring 23 tries in five mini matches at the Stamford Festival, Wisbech Under 8’s had another outstanding week.

Top try scorer was Charlie Bradshaw with 13. Amelia Mitchell scored a memorable try from the halfway line.

Team: Amelia Mitchell, Charlie Bradshaw, Harry Davison, Harry Fowler, Max Broomfield, Connor Sands, Bradley Shippey and Lucas Drew. Player of the Season: Harry West. Most improved player: Lucas Drew.

Wisbech Under 10s finished the season by winning the plate final at the biggest Mini Tournament in the country in Stamford on Sunday.

They were runners-up in their group.

Scores: Wisbech vs Spalding 2-3. Tries from James Wright and Will Easton. Wisbech vs Peterborough 3-1. Tries: Easton, Rhys Swann and William Paul. Wisbech vs Sleaford 2-1. Tries: Paul and Easton.

Wisbech vs Bourne 3-0. Tries: Paul, Ollie Murdoch and Easton.

Plate final score: Wisbech vs Kesteven 4-0. Tries: Josh Bell, Murdoch, Easton (2).

In their last competitive game of the season Fenland Barbarians u13s rounded off a successful year following its formation with a win at Skegness with six excellent tries 44-12.

Tries: Theo Hoyles-Simpson 3, Frank Etherington (returning from injury) 2, David Betts , Luke Green and Henry Hoyles. Conversions: Ben Foracre 2.
